The 2016-2017 Sugar-cane crop manufacture Conference is held to find the solutions and best conditions to implement for the 2016-2017 annual manufacture.

On 27/8, at Soc Trang city, the Vietnam Sugar-cane Association successfully organizes the 2016-2017 Sugar-cane crop manufacture Conference

Attending the conference are the leaders of the Association, the scientists, the professional managers in the sugar-cane industry and representatives of the enterprises and sugar-cane factories nationwide.

The Vietnam Sugar-cane Association’s report shows the plan for the 2015-2016 crop was that: the crop manufacture yield to be more than 14,4 mil tons of sugar-cane and 1,56 mil tons of sugar, however, due to the drought and salt intrusion, the yield was only about 12,93 mil tons of sugar-cane and 1,24 mil tons of sugar. Therefore, there was a period when the market price of sugar increased rapidly.

In the 2016-2017 crop, there are 40 plants nationwide, with the capacity of 155.300 sugar-cane ton/ day, which estimatedly press 15 mil tons sugar-cane, producing more than 1,4 mil tons of fine sugar.

In the conference, the delegates also listen to the professional reports, discuss and exchange experience about the cultivation technologies to find out the sugar-cane breeds that can suffer the salt intrusion, mechanization of the cultivation and harvest, stabilization of the sugar market price to ensure the profit for the farmers and the plants.

Also in the conference, MDI Chemical attends and introduces advanced products and technologies for the sugar-cane industry, such as: Dextrasol enzyme to hydrolyze dextran, Amsolen PSR to hydrolyze starch to improve the manufacture process, decrease the viscosity and sugar loss. Beside, these two products support to decrease the Dextran  content, starch content and increase the sugar retrieve efficiency from the molasses, increase the sugar quality.

Another technology is the de-foamer produced by Concentrol – Spain. It helps de-foam and restrains the foam development during the production process. The product is stable, EU standard, works in wide pH range and can be apply widely in all food industries.
